Wait, Pokémon Is Still A Thing? You Sure About That?
-
With a comic con coming to his town, a party planner decided to promote a pre-con party with a Pokémon theme. And that got him sued by the Pokémon copyright promotes, so he canceled the party before it happened. Yet even though he canceled it, the Pokémon lawyers -- yes, Pokémon has lawyers -- are still demanding $4,000 from him, money he says he doesn't have. If the party was canceled, what more do they need? So what if he pasted images from the show on his poster -- was that really $4,000 worth of damage? And isn't it promoting Pokémon more than anything else? (Ars Technica)
