Here's the thing about some news reports: This article starts right out telling you that the study upon which the alarming news that people are giving mobile devices to kids under 5 years old and leaving them to their own, er, devices involves "self-reporting," which is not, you know, statistically valid. Small sample, no verification... junk "science." But it does not prevent the New York Times -- THE NEW YORK TIMES -- from treating it as if it's true, because, ostensibly, the reporter's friends let little Serge and Truvia play with their own iPhone 6-es. Anyway, if the Times can do it, so can you, so if you're so inclined, you can talk about how young is too young for a phone or tablet. (New York Times)
