Unfortunately, Fries Are Never Low-Calorie Options
-
Apparently, most people ignore calorie counts on menus. But restaurants don't: They're allegedly conscious enough of what it looks like when the whole menu's filled with 1,000-plus calorie dishes that the laws about having to show the calories has them adding some lower-calorie options. Actually, as much as I think calorie counts on menus suck the joy out of eating out, I'm glad if this trend continues. Sometimes, I look at a menu and realize there's nothing on there that I can eat and not feel bloated just thinking about it. (Los Angeles Times)
