In the category of Stuff We Already Knew comes a Nielsen study confirming that smartphones and the Internet are taking time we used to spend on TV. Here's the thing I want you to take away from this: The most scarce commodity in people's lives these days is time. Not enough time to watch all the TV, not enough time to read, not enough time to watch a movie or listen to the radio or shop or eat or breathe. When people talked of the future of technology back in the day, we all assumed tech would leave us with more leisure time. We did not anticipate... this. (AP via KOMO-TV/Seattle)
