Anything Would Have Been Better Than Nothing, Which Is What They Have Now
-
It took about 10 years, but a city councilman in Los Angeles finally got a grocery store to open in an area of South LA that doesn't have any place to buy fresh produce and healthy food. But then he left office, and his replacement decided to get involved, and now there's no grocery store. There was already a deal, but the new councilman decided he wanted to try to get more out of the business, and it didn't take long for the store to decide that it wasn't worth the trouble. Politicians giveth, and politicians taketh away. (Los Angeles Times)
