The former principal of a Saskatchewan school is in a hearing over her allegedly offering $500 each to two teachers to "help" her daughter get a better grade. The trouble is that a) what "helping" meant wasn't spelled out, and b) you can't be doing that anyway. If they can't prove she was paying for a better grade for her daughter, the appearance is pretty much that. But see if the devil on your shoulder's there: If you could pay a little under the table to get your kids' grades a little higher, and you thought nobody would ever find out, would you?
