Once You're Inside Your Front Door, You Ought To Feel Safe
-
What's reasonable for your expectations that your apartment building is safe? A woman living in an Atlanta apartment building says she was robbed at gunpoint while she was in the lobby getting her mail, and if they can't keep you safe at the mailboxes, that's not good. She says there are no cameras and no guards, and that they didn't notify the other tenants about the robbery and someone kicked in the door of another apartment in a robbery attempt. The parking lot security gate was also allegedly broken and a car stolen from the lot. And for the woman's trouble, she says, she was threatened with eviction when she sent a notice to other residents about the lobby incident. If your landlord was looking the other way when crime was happening in your building, would you fight, move, or both? (WSB-TV/Atlanta)
