Okay, not that you need my prompting, but let's talk Trump a bit, with three articles that might lead to some good segments for you. First up is the Washington Post pointing towards how a Trump nomination might take Republican Senate, House, and gubernatorial candidates down if, as some expect, his being atop the ballot will drive independents and moderate Republicans away or keep establishment GOP voters from showing up on Election Day. Is that what you think would happen? And there's also the matter of said GOP's establishment's failure to stop Trump, and what that says about them. Look, a LOT of Trump's support is not about his policies or his capability to govern, but about sending a big ol' F-CK YOU to the establishment, which is also a lot of Bernie Sanders' support; there's just more of that sentiment on the GOP side, and, considering who else is running, you can't blame people for being pissed, even if that doesn't justify supporting a loon. Speaking of which, what happens if the loon gets elected -- what would a Trump presidency be like? This is where it gets serious: Do you think, as I've heard suggested lately, that he'd just hire people to do what needs to be done and his bloviating and bluster wouldn't really make a difference, or do you think he'll really try to cancel treaties and bully other governments and cause the destruction of everything we know? What do you think will happen if he actually has to govern? (Washington Post; New York Times; Los Angeles Times)
