Collateral damage from people claiming that their pets are "service dogs" so they can bring them into stores, restaurants, and airplanes: disabled people who actually need service dogs. The fakers have the public understandably skeptical, which then gets turned on people who really legitimately need trained service dogs. It's like handicapped parking placards; when you see someone use one and then appear to be perfectly fine and able to walk and function, you get angry. And that means that those who may legitimately need that help are going to face your wrath. It's out of hand, and there should be some kind of stricter standard to which service pet certifications are held, shouldn't there? (AP via Sacramento Bee)
