Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200

You might not realize this, but there are some places that still throw you in jail if you can't pay your debts, mostly if you've been fined or ordered by a court to make restitution to someone. So Debtor's Prison lives on, even as the ACLU fights to get rid of it. Should you be thrown in jail if you don't have the money to pay your debts? What if you lose your job? What if the debts were fines and the amount is basically arbitrary anyway? (Los Angeles Times)
