This article is about how there's no longer a stigma attached to becoming a new parent after turning 50 years old, including some single men and women who go the adoption route at an advanced age. I don't think the stigma is the issue. Isn't it that if you're already 50 and you have a kid, that you'll be at least 68 when the kid graduates high school and in your 70s when he or she's in college? And maybe likely to be dead when grandchildren come around? (New York Times)
