That's Close Enough, They Can Give This One To Him, Right? Okay, Posthumously, But Still

A swimmer died trying to cross the English Channel, and he was about a mile from the finish in Calais when he went unconscious. It's strange that he had an experienced support team with him on the boat, he was experienced at swimming the Channel, and yet he still died; it's also strange that the rules for swimming the Channel ban wearing a wetsuit, because that would seem to be a prerequisite. Can't really criticize him for swimming the Channel in the first place, though; he knew the risks and wanted to take the challenge, and I can understand that desire even if I wouldn't do it in a million years myself.
