You Mean It Didn't Just Appear Like That All By Itself?

Dead: John Ellenby. Who? His company developed the first clamshell laptop computer, the form factor that led to the computers you and I use every day. Someone had to think up how to make a computer portable; he did it (otherwise, we'd be lugging things like the Osborne around, if you remember that one, or pecking at a TRS-80 with a tiny screen). And he did it way before the mainstream companies were thinking portable. Plus, he was early on augmented reality, so he was thinking way ahead of the game all along. (CNN Money)
