It says in this article that when the CEO of your company comes out as a supporter and donor to a candidate, employees feel pressured to support the same candidate, even if they don't want to. I assume they're talking about executives at the company, though. I've worked for big and small companies and I've never felt that I had to follow anyone's lead in that regard, but let's take this down to a more relatable level: If your direct boss is openly supporting a particular candidate and you don't, do you feel uncomfortable? Do you keep your mouth shut or risk an argument? (New York Times)
