'Online' For Me Means Preordering Through The App, Not Standing Literally On Line
-
Speaking of marketing hype, is there anything more successful than the annual queuing of the Apple fanboys at Apple stores worldwide for the new iPhone? This year, though, the warnings are out: there's an unusually limited supply, so unless you preordered, you might not get one. But the bigger question is: What would make you queue up to buy something? Don't say nothing, because I know that back in the Ticketron days, you queued up for concert tickets all the time. You might have been there with me standing in an endless queue at a Ticketron outlet in Ardmore because your girlfriend wanted to see The Who at JFK Stadium and you weren't gonna say no, and, besides, The Clash was on the bill, too, and you were okay with that even if you'd have to sit through Santana to get there. Or so I'm told. (Los Angeles Times)
