Hey, cities who think stadia are the answer to all downtown economic and development woes: Not even 20 years after building an independent minor league baseball park downtown, Newark is selling the land and tearing the place down, hoping that a mixed-use development will revitalize the area now that baseball didn't. The place has been sitting vacant since 2014. Don't buy the pie-in-the-sky projections, ever. (NJ Advance Media/NJ.com)
