Wearing The Original Should Mean More To You Than That, Shouldn't It?

Apparently, younger folk -- I feel so old -- aren't all that attached to tradition, so they trade up their wedding bands to go with something more elaborate and fancy after a few years. See, as someone who never takes off his wedding band, I would think that the symbolism is more important than the design, and replacements aren't the same even if they're "nicer." But if you think of it as just jewelry, you can justify going with a new one. Though I suppose that even some folks who are into the symbolism want to upgrade to show off their loyalty.
