Paris has a long-standing (centuries, basically) problem: Parts of the city smell like pee. (I can verify this, although most of the city does not, in fact, smell like pee.) Anyway, at a spot by the big Gare de Lyon train station, they've installed special outdoor compost urinals to try to keep guys -- of course it's about guys -- from peeing in the street or against the wall. But the pictures appear to show the urinals just sitting outside in public view- are you supposed to just whip it out and pee right there? Because that would be pretty weird. (BBC)
