On Your Mark, Get Set....

American Airlines has made changes to its boarding process, namely that they're assigning everyone -- first class, AA credit card holders, everyone -- to groups. No more "preboarding." It's not actually a change in that all they're doing is adding group numbers so that everyone is boarded that way, and "Group 1," which used to have to wait for the preboarding groups anyway, is now "Group 5," getting on board at the same time as they used to. Here's the thing: The whole process is annoying because everyone's racing to the overhead bins, and that's an artificial situation created by the airlines with small bins, lax size enforcement, and checked baggage fees. How would you handle the boarding process? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
