Tony Soprano Does NOT Approve

Some call it P.C. gone amok. Others say it's overdue. Whatever it is, there are legislators in Minnesota who are trying to get a bill passed to change the engraving on the Christopher Columbus statue at the State Capitol in St. Paul. It says now that he was the "discoverer of America." They want it to say just that he "landed in America," which is technically more correct -- you can't be the "discoverer" (is that even a word?) if there were already people living there before you showed up. And there are all the issues with the white explorers' treatment of the native people, which you know about already from doing topics on "Indigenous Peoples' Day." So, should they redo the engraving?
