I'm Not Innocent... But I Did Stay At A Holiday Inn Express For The Last 3-5 Years
-
A tale of two prisons: Immigrants thrown into jail in Orange County face dirty showers, rotten meat, and 24-hour solitary, horrific conditions. In the very same county and in many other places, wealthier inmates are sometimes given the option of paying to be housed in more comfortable local jails rather than do harder time, even if they've been convicted of serious crimes. By "more comfortable," we're talking rapists getting to have flat-screen TVs, new beds, computers. Is that fair, not only to the inmates who can't afford that but to the victims?
