New York City has joined Philadelphia and a few other cities in banning employers from asking prospective employees about their past salaries in job interviews, and because New York is corporate HQ central, this could affect procedures everywhere, since companies tend to standardize their procedures nationwide. Have you ever been asked that? I haven't, but I wouldn't tell them anyway. I'd let them throw a number out first and then tell them my expectations and negotiate from there, if I could.
