Let's Try To Keep The Real World Off School Grounds As Long As Possible
-
So many questions after the San Bernardino school murder-suicide. One is, well, how depraved is the idea of doing that in a room full of kids? Did it occur to the killer at any time that maybe this could have waited until after school, so the kids wouldn't be harmed? Oh, right, we're asking for reason from the unreasonable. Another issue is the process of letting visitors just sign in and go to a classroom, even if the shooter was known to the school -- not that the shooter couldn't have shot his or her way to the classroom, but, still, even in an emergency, shouldn't they just call down to the class and have the teacher come to the office rather than letting an outsider interrupt class?
