As if you couldn't figure it out yourself, here's an article reporting that those Berkeley rallies, the violent ones, are not about protest or free speech for the participants. They're about causing trouble and getting publicity, on both sides. There's a shock. The locals say that the people brawling in the street are not from Berkeley or anywhere nearby, they're pretty much professional agitators itching for a fight. How should the rest of society deal with that: ignore them, scold them, or what? (Los Angeles Times)
