Oh, Like It's So Exciting Where You Live Right Now
-
You know, this is tempting: A tiny village in the mountains 50 miles from the next town of any size (Genoa) wants people to move there, but nothing's worked. So the mayor is proposing to pay €2,000 cash and charge €50-€120 per room per month rent. All you have to do is move there. And this is not a hellhole, it's a picturesque village with restaurants, a corner shop, and a post office. Throw in high-speed Internet and you could work from home. It's just... boring. But if you don't need a big city atmosphere and don't mind being in the middle of nowhere, it might be a deal. (The Independent)
