Because Every Other Problem In The State's Been Solved
-
Every time a state talks about this, I have the same reaction, and now that Texas' House has passed a "transgender bathroom bill" making it the law that public and charter schools make kids go in the bathrooms corresponding to the gender on their birth certificates, I have to ask: Why is this so urgent? Why did the Lieutenant Governor (a radio talk show host) insist that this be passed in an urgent manner? Because, to the best of my (and anyone else's) knowledge, the number of kids affected is miniscule, and, for the most part, other kids don't seem all that worried about a trans kid in the restroom. It's a law in search of a problem. (KXAN-TV/Austin)
