What's A Few Miles, Anyway? Just Call An Uber
-
The NTSB says that the incident last July in which a Delta flight from Minneapolis to Rapid City landed at the wrong airport was purely pilot error. But they also point out that this error is fairly common, since the two airports -- one is Ellsworth AFB, actually -- have parallel runways near each other. But the pilots are supposed to catch that. Why they don't have the airport names painted in massive letters on the runway, I don't know. Or maybe they do. (Minneapolis Star-Tribune)
