Even the reporter for this story acknowledges that workout videos have existed for ages, but this is a trend piece, and the trend is for people to pay for streaming live workouts. It's not like popping in a DVD for a workout, although, really, it is. You sign up and you can stream a workout class with a name-brand trainer live, or you can play it when you're ready. The difference is the live element, because, I guess, it's like being in the class, except you're at home while the other participants are in the room, or in their own homes, or whatever. Okay. Seriously, though, do you use workout video, does this appeal to you, or do you start with the videos and give it up after a few days because it's hard AND boring? (KABC-TV/Los Angeles)
