Somehow, I Don't See Whatever The Head Of A Utility Proposes As Saving Us Money

The head of the main utility company in New Jersey pitched an idea the other week that nobody has noticed until now: He proposed to eliminate electric bills and charge only for the equipment used. That, he said, is because efficiency has made it so that electricity really shouldn't cost anything. Not sure, though, if the cost of equipment and maintenance would end up being more than we pay for juice as it is. (NJ Advance Media/NJ.com)
