Bet They'd Try To Stop Him If He Was Reading From The Koran
-
A city commissioner in Deltona, FL insists on reading Bible verses at commission meetings, and the city says, well, he has a First Amendment right to do that. They don't really grasp the whole separation thing, apparently, but it does raise the question of why some people feel compelled to proselytize -- that's what he's doing, even if he says it's just because he's simply moved to read Bible passages during city meetings -- at every occasion. It can't wait until the meeting's over? (WKMG-TV/Orlando)
