Good If You Have REIT Investments In Your 401K, Bad If You Need A Place To Live

We know how rising home prices have priced a lot of people out of home ownership. But renting's a possibility, right? Wait. Here in L.A.'s South Bay, prices on the investment real estate market for rental properties like apartment buildings have skyrocketed since 2008. And that gets passed on to renters, meaning that even rents are unaffordable in some areas. Average rents are at $1,607 a month here. This is unsustainable, but do you let the market crash and take care of it, or should the government step in and... well, what CAN they do? (Daily Breeze, Torrance)
