Another retail death: Teavana, with all stores scheduled to be shut down by Starbucks as it decides to put its money into buying the half interest in its Starbucks stores in China that it doesn't already own. The brand, though, will live on at Starbucks and on products sold in other stores. I am a tea drinker, and I can say that I liked Teavana for the free samples but I rarely bought anything there. Why? Too damn expensive. Convenient, but too expensive for what they were selling. (Seattle Times)
