Here's the chain of events: Little League softball Junior League World Series semifinal game, Atlee, VA vs. Kirkland, WA. Kirkland player and coach ejected for stealing signs. Atlee wins, 1-0, to advance. Atlee team takes Snapchat photo giving the losing team the finger. Little League disqualifies Atlee, game changed to forfeit, Kirkland advances. Atlee people say that's overreacting. But is Little League all about winning and losing, or is sportsmanship part of the equation? Because if sportsmanship matters, flipping the bird to the losing team ain't sportsmanship, and while this is a harsh, no-fun lesson, it IS a lesson. Too harsh? (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
