Way, Way Deeper Than It Looks
-
As Houston deals with more water than it can handle (and that's an issue in itself, with overdevelopment and the elimination of pasture lands to absorb the runoff causing... this), people should NOT be out on the road, ESPECIALLY at night. But people do it anyway, and they learn the hard way that you can't always see what's in front of you until it's too late, like this woman who drowned when she drove her car into high water, then got out of the car. There are roads where the water's up to street light level, and especially in the dark, you can't see it coming until you're in it. Please, if you're ever in a storm like this, listen to evacuation orders and don't stick around, and if you insist on sticking around, don't drive in it. (KPRC-TV/Houston)
