It'll REALLY Get Interesting When Your Dog Can Call Them Herself
-
Uber, but for dog walking. It's called Barkly and it's expanding up the East Coast from D.C. to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and, now, the New Jersey cities along the Hudson River. You fire up the app and call on a dog walker who'll take your pet out for $18 per half-hour, which ain't cheap, but they're targeting the kind of cities where young working professionals will drop that kind of cash on dog walking. And if you're an Uber or Lyft driver, remember, while autonomous cars may eliminate the job you have now, the days when robots walk dogs are very far off. Maybe.
