The reasons Logan Airport in Boston is considering charging drivers for dropping off a friend at the terminal include environmental and traffic considerations. Yes, the road around the terminals is crowded -- all airports are like that. And, yes, idling cars pollute. But charging is not the only option. Wouldn't it be a LOT better for the stated purpose to establish a location where you can drop someone off and a shuttle bus takes them directly to the terminal? (Boston Globe)
