I'm Sad. Who Can I Sue For It?
-
A study says that lawyers who are really successful are MORE likely to suffer depression, with the most successful showing the most symptoms. They don't say why, but I can guess that the things you have to do to be successful in law -- including working ridiculous hours and being cut-throat -- are pretty damn depressing. There's a huge "is this all there is?" factor in it. And it's one of the reasons I decided not to practice after I passed the bar: the money didn't seem worth it (and the money wasn't necessarily great, either). (Canadian Press via Global News)
