Officials are blaming a wiring issue for the failed Pontiac Silverdome implosion, which had to be one of the more disappointing blow-up events ever. The thing just did not come down, and they blame the failure of 10 percent of the explosives to go off, most of that in key spots, for the stadium remaining largely intact. It may come down via gravity, but they're sending excavators in to finish the job later in the week, which is more laborious and time-consuming and dangerous. Damn thing won't go away.
