It says here that hipsters are now playing Dungeons and Dragons, and I have to be careful here, given that I have a background in nerd culture writing (I even edited a website called Nerdist, FFS), but is it that hipsters are playing D&D or that the nerds that played D&D are now adults perceived as cool? Because a lot of young Hollywood comedians came up from a nerdy background and since they became popular, maybe D&D got swept up with them. Also, podcasts didn't hurt. I never got into D&D myself, but I'm fine with it being considered cool. I just don't know which came first, D&D becoming cool or people who played it becoming cool and imparting the cool to the game. (Philadephia Inquirer)
