They Were Too Cheap To Hire Someone Who's Actually Positive?

Imagine you're a model and your pictures end up with a stock photo company, and they license the pictures out. And that leads to you being, unintentionally, the face of HIV. That's what happened to this model whose pictures were sold to a New York state agency which used them for a campaign. She sued, and a judge says that while you might think the stigma has gone away, the very fact that there's this campaign to convince the public not to discriminate against those with HIV means that there IS a stigma and there IS a cause of action. Bottom line: Whatever you think about that, you're better off not posing for stock photos. (New York Post)
