That Spread-Eagle Picture Your Mom Took Of You When You Were A Baby? Legal
-
It took almost ten years, but a federal court has finally ruled that a couple's photos of their three daughters, aged 5, 4, and 1, nude in a bathtub were not sexually exploitative. You might recall that the couple took a roll of film to be developed at a Walmart photo center and an employee turned them in. There was no evidence of sexual abuse, and the photos were in the tradition of naked baby photos parents have taken since the advent of cameras, but the state took their kids away without a court order for three days, put them in different foster homes, and gave them invasive medical exams. They sued and the court has ruled in their favor. Justice might sometimes be slow, but at least it caught up. (KPHO-TV-KTVK/Phoenix)
