It's The South, But Not THAT South
-
It took a while, but Hollywood, FL is finally removing street signs for streets named after Confederate leaders. You might recall that these streets, named after Bedford Forrest, John Bell Hood and Robert E. Lee, were the source of much controversy, with protests and arrests. Now, the streets are being renamed Freedom, Hope, and Liberty. Now, was that so hard? And what possible reason would there be to leave a street named after the founding Grand Wizard of the KKK? How is changing from that even controversial? (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
