Los Angeles County is trying a pilot program -- for $550,000, to start -- to address the homeless situation in the area in a unique way: They're planning to pay people to build tiny houses in their backyards for homeless people. Now, you may ask, who's gonna do that? And you'd be asking a good question, even though the article claims that many people contacted about the program are "intrigued." You'll need a lot more than "intrigued" to make this work. (Los Angeles Times)
