Sometimes, You Gotta Put The Rules Aside For A Little Bit
-
Canada had an impromptu Jersey Day, a day people were urged to wear sports jerseys to show their support for the people of Humboldt, SK after the tragic junior hockey bus crash. A high school kid in Quebec wore a Barcelona soccer jersey as a result. He got sent home. The school says that the kid has a history of dress code violations and they suspected the jersey was a "pretext" to violate the dress code. Honestly, though, is this that egregious? Why not let him do the jersey thing and consider it honoring the Humboldt victims? (Canadian Press via Montreal Gazette)
