The FCC has slapped T-Mobile with a $40 million fine for something that they did to cover up the fact that their rural coverage sucks: false rings. You'd call a number, and it wouldn't connect, but you'd hear it ringing as if the call went through and the person you were calling didn't pick up. It makes you wonder if all the carriers do that, and if someone you called and you thought blew you off really didn't. (CNN Money)
