Audience Participation Not Encouraged
-
The audience member was apparently triggered, but it's never acceptable to start yelling at the actors in a play. The guy said he felt "marginalized and attacked" by the play, and it turned out he was part of a student contingent from college seeing the play and was an Iraq vet who'd had brain surgery, but what are the actors to do when some guy stands up and starts challenging them from a few rows away? He has a medical excuse in a way, but how do you handle something that's beyond heckling? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
