Take A Benadryl, Fall Asleep, You'll Get Through This Without Your Ferret

The crackdown continues on fake service animals being brought onto airplanes, from dogs and cats to peacocks and hamsters. It's gotten out of hand, and it's an insult to those who really do need service animals. One way to deal with this is to use the Americans with Disabilities Act standard that would bar "emotional support" or "comfort" pets from cabins. Another might be to create a set of standards or maybe licenses that pets would have to have to qualify. Maybe a special official ID, like a passport, in a way. But the way it's been, with people scamming so they can get their pets on board instead of in the cargo hold, is not good. (New York Times)
