If you want marketing, you ask a marketing expert, right? Not the European Union, which has a post-Brexit, populist-battered image that needs shoring up. They've asked artists and designers, and so among 400 responses for rebranding proposals were ideas for unisex jackets that would be accepted as public transit tickets, VR folk dances, a new anthem, new flags, new coins, posters... everything but ideas that would actually, you know, prop up their image. But government bureaucrats are never really clear on how to deal with humans. (New York Times)
