Beats Queuing Up For A Checkpoint
-
Yes, Los Angeles has a subway system (although I've lived here for over 20 years and have yet to ride it); it also now has body scanners that can check for explosives and other contraband as people walk into and out of stations. Put aside the privacy issues, and it's kind of cool, especially in dealing with terrorism. But where do we need them? Subway stations, sure, but ballparks? Malls? Schools? Do we need scanners everywhere? Where do we draw the line? (KNBC-TV/Los Angeles)
