They're No Place Like Home... Unless You Don't Have Any Alternatives

This story about people found living illegally in rented storage units in Boston raises the issue of where, exactly, people are supposed to live when they've been priced out of renting a real apartment. It's easy to say, well, move someplace you can afford, but if you don't have a job or money in the bank or credit, you can't very well pick up and go to a cheap area and expect that suddenly you'll have a job and money and ability to pay the rent. You don't WANT to live in a storage unit, and it's illegal, but, okay, then, where do you suggest these people go? (Boston Herald)
